Orange County Center Against Domestic Violence Receives Pipe Donation For New Facility in Orlando, Florida

Livingston, NJ – November 7, 2006 – J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc. (JMM), the largest producer of plastic pipe in the world, has donated 2,640 feet of C900 DR18 PVC Water Distribution pipe and 336 feet of SDR35 PVC Gravity Sewer pipe to Harbor House, also known as the Orange County Center Against Domestic Violence, in Orlando, Florida.

The new, 7,500 square foot facility will be able to house 48 people, in addition to staff, thus offering refuge from domestic violence to those in the Orlando area. Amenities include fully furnished common areas, a play-room filled with toys and an outdoor playground for children.  In the future, the center hopes to create a peaceful outdoor area complete with a garden, park benches, and a water fountain.  Harbor House has provided temporary safe shelter to over 10,000 women and children over the years.  In addition to shelter, they offer a 24-hour crisis hotline and counseling services for both adults and children.
