President & CEO of J-M Manufacturing Receives Ellis Island Medal of Honor

Walter Wang Is Named As One of The Distinguished Americans To Receive The 2006 Medal of Honor

Livingston, NJ - June 2, 2006 - Walter Wang, President & CEO of J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc. (JMM), was honored on May 13, 2006 as a recipient of the Ellis Island Medal of Honor.  This prestigious award is given each year to a distinguished group of Americans who greatly contribute to our national identity while preserving the distinct values and heritage of their ancestors.

The award is presented by the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations Foundation, Inc. (NECO), representing the largest ethnic and heritage organizations in the United States. NECO is dedicated to universal brotherhood, and conducts a variety of programs encouraging the advancement and protection of all ethnic groups and races.  As an honoree, Mr. Wang joins a long and famous list of fellow Ellis Island Medal of Honor recipients, including Muhammad Ali, George Bush, Rosa Parks, George Steinbrenner and Barbara Walters.

J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc. was formed in 1982 with the acquisition of eight pipe production facilities. Today, the company operates out of 14 manufacturing plants across the United States, with headquarters in Livingston, New Jersey.  JMM produces water, sewer, solvent weld, electrical conduit, ABS and polyethylene pipe in diameters ranging from ½’’ to 48” for PVC and ½’’ to 63” in HDPE.  JMM is dedicated to developing the plastic pipe market by offering superior products, unparalleled quality, and ensuring that its business makes a positive contribution to the environment, the communities it serves, its customers, and employees.
