J-M Manufacturing Company To Offer Sewer Pipe In 14 Foot Lengths

JMM Plans To Increase Their Standard Length of Sewer Pipe

Livingston, NJ - February 15, 2006 - J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc. (JMM), the largest producer of plastic pipe in the world, announces plans to increase their standard length of sewer pipe.  As of March 1, 2006, JMM will offer sewer pipe to their customers in 14-foot lengths.  Thirteen-foot sewer pipe will still be available as a special order item.

The decision to increase the standard length of sewer pipe was made in order to better service JMM customers.  The longer length will mean fewer pieces of pipe and thus fewer fittings will be required to cover the same distance, a savings of time and labor.  The change also allows customers to receive more footage per truck load for sewer pipe orders.  JMM continues to identify and revise their business practices in order to better serve their customers’ needs.

J-M Manufacturing Company, Inc. was formed in 1982 with the acquisition of eight pipe production facilities. Today, the company operates out of 14 manufacturing plants across the United States, with headquarters in Livingston, New Jersey.  JMM produces water, sewer, solvent weld, electrical conduit, ABS and polyethylene pipe in diameters ranging from ½’’ to 48” for PVC and ½’’ to 63” in HDPE.  JMM is dedicated to developing the plastic pipe market by offering superior products, unparalleled quality, and ensuring that its business makes a positive contribution to the environment, the communities it serves, its customers, and employees.
